80’s Flashback Weekend, founded by Dave Linn, is more than a celebration of 80’s music and culture—it’s an event with heart.

Dave, a former patient of Shriners Children’s Hospitals, was born with mild Cerebral Palsy and has overcome countless physical challenges throughout his life. A lifelong athlete, he has competed in more than 72 triathlons, earning the title of 2009 National Champion in the Physically Challenged Division, along with success in several other sports.

 

Inspired by his own journey, Dave created 80’s Flashback Weekend, now a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to bring the community together through nostalgia and entertainment while supporting Shriners Children’s Greenville and its mission of providing life-changing medical care to children regardless of a family’s ability to pay.
